Sargol Saffron – red threads

Sargol is a type of saffron consisting primarily of the red stigmas of the flower, with a limited amount of yellow fragments. The threads impart a characteristic aroma and golden color to dishes, and only a small amount is needed for seasoning.

How to extract the aroma?

1. Lightly crush several threads.
2. Pour 2–3 tablespoons of warm, but not boiling, water or milk over them.
3. Let stand for 10–15 minutes, then add the entire infusion to your dish.

Application

For risotto, paella, rice, sauces, fish soups, milk desserts, cakes, and beverages. Add sparingly and gradually.

Storage: in a tightly sealed container, away from light, moisture, and strong odors.
