Authentic Royal Brand Matcha – Highest Quality and Pure Taste
Our matcha comes from a renowned plantation in Japan, which uses only traditional and organic cultivation methods. Check out what makes our matcha stand out from the rest and offer an unforgettable taste experience. See how the matcha we offer is grown and how other plantations often produce it:
1. Obscuration Method and Duration
Shade cultivation (Matcha Royal Brand comes from this cultivation)
The unique feature of this method is the space between the leaves and the blackout mesh, which allows for blackout for over 30 days without touching the leaves. This increases the level of theanine and amino acids that give the drink a sweet taste, while reducing the bitterness of catechins. This cultivation provides optimal conditions, allowing for long-term blackout without stress for the plant.

Direct Obfuscation
The traditional method involves directly covering the leaves for about 14 days. Although this method is more effective, it can damage the leaves.

2. Drying in the Tencha Oven
Tencha Oven (Royal Brand Matcha is dried in this oven)
Our matcha is dried in a special brick oven, which allows it to retain its full aroma and intense green leaves, even after long-term storage. This means that each cup of tea brings an authentic taste.

Drying without a Tencha Oven
In the absence of a Tencha oven, dryers are used, which unfortunately causes damage to the leaves and loss of color and aroma.

3. Removing Stems and Veins
Gentle Removal (This Process Goes Through Matcha Royal Brand)
To obtain a pure taste, we remove the stems and veins from the Tencha leaves before grinding them. Only this approach guarantees the highest quality matcha, devoid of bitter notes.

Without Removal
If the stems and veins remain, grinding in a stone mill becomes difficult and the tea loses its flavor.

4. Traditional Stone Grinding

Our matcha has an exceptionally fine structure with grains of just 6 microns, which makes its texture smooth and the foam on the surface delicate. This process is laborious, but guarantees the highest quality matcha, ideal for ceremonies.

Machine Grinding
Although modern machines achieve high efficiency, the grain size is as small as 10-15 microns. We believe that only grinding with a stone mill gives the true taste of matcha.
