A chasen (茶筅) is a traditional bamboo stirrer used to prepare matcha tea in the Japanese tea ceremony. It is an essential tool for achieving a perfectly frothy and velvety consistency.
A chasen is an object made from a single piece of bamboo, precisely cut and formed into thin fibers. The number of fibers (teeth) can vary – the more, the easier it is to obtain a fine foam. The most common variants are:
The set includes a chasen with 80 sticks, perfect for obtaining perfectly frothy matcha.

✅ Matcha – Green tea powder with unique properties
✅ What is matcha✅
✅ Matcha is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves that is consumed whole, instead of brewing and removing the leaves as with traditional tea.
✅ Thanks to this, it provides a higher concentration of nutrients and antioxidants.
✅ Unique taste and health experiences
✅ Discover the unique Royal Brand Matcha – a top-quality product that allows you to easily prepare a traditional, aromatic infusion.
✅ Just one teaspoon of matcha, poured over 250 ml of hot (70-80°C) water, and stirring vigorously to create the characteristic froth. It's the perfect way to introduce a healthy and delicious ritual into your daily life.
✅ Origin and uniqueness
✅ Matcha Royal Brand comes from the prestigious Shizuoka Prefecture – a region famous for its best conditions for growing green tea.
✅ Rich volcanic soil and a unique climate make matcha from this region stand out with its intense color, fresh aroma and harmonious taste.

✅ Regions of Japan – Shizuoka Prefecture – A wealth of flavor and tradition
✅ Shizuoka Tea: The pinnacle of Japanese green tea
✅ Shizuoka is the true tea capital of Japan, accounting for approximately 40% of the country's production. Situated at the foot of Mount Fuji, the region is distinguished by its rich volcanic soil, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque plantations. A variety of climatic conditions, including morning mists and temperature fluctuations, contribute to the unique flavors of teas such as sencha, tencha, and hojicha. The history of tea in Shizuoka dates back to 1241, making it a place of exceptional tradition.

✅ Why First Flush Matcha is the Best ✅
✅ During winter, tea buds hibernate, allowing them to accumulate valuable nutrients before the spring harvest. This makes first-harvest matcha rich in flavor and intense in its effects. The leaves, growing slowly in cool conditions, create a full-bodied flavor and aroma that true connoisseurs will appreciate.
L-theanine, a key amino acid that gives matcha its characteristic umami flavor, is present in significantly higher amounts in the first harvest, three times higher than in tea from the second harvest. In later harvests, such as the third and fourth, L-theanine levels are significantly lower, resulting in a less intense flavor and nutritional value.
✅ High-quality matcha has an intense, full-bodied flavor with minimal bitterness, requiring no added sugar. To fully enjoy its flavor and health benefits, it's best to choose matcha from the first harvest, which is considered truly ceremonial.
✅ How to recognize good matcha✅
✅ Good matcha is recognized primarily by its color. An intense green hue indicates high chlorophyll content and young leaves growing higher on the plant, where they have more access to light. A yellowish hue suggests older leaves or leaves from lower parts of the plant, which translates to lower quality.
✅ In this auction we are offering ceremonial matcha, marked in green in the box below.

✅ The second important indicator of matcha quality is its consistency . The silkier and finer the powder, the higher the quality. This can be easily checked by rubbing the matcha on a white piece of paper.
✅ The attached photo shows a clear difference between everyday matcha (left) and ceremonial matcha (right) . Ceremonial matcha produces a smooth, intensely green, and continuous line, indicating a very fine grind. Daily matcha, on the other hand, has a more lumpy texture and a lighter, less saturated color, making the line less distinct and interrupted when ground.
✅ Both types of matcha from our offer are ground on traditional stone mills, but ceremonial matcha is ground longer, which translates into its higher quality and silky consistency.
✅ The presence of bitter notes doesn't always indicate low-quality matcha, as their intensity depends on the growing region and cultivation techniques. However, matcha with an intense bitterness or a fishy aftertaste indicates lower quality and a late harvest.
✅ Classification terms
Terms like "everyday matcha," "traditional," "premium," or "luxury" are created for marketing purposes and don't reflect actual quality. The value of matcha depends on the characteristics mentioned above, which are more reliable.

Why choose Royal Brand Matcha✅
✅ Royal Brand Matcha is JAS certified. You can be sure of the highest quality with zero pesticides.

A mark for agricultural products and processed foods produced on farms where no artificial fertilizers or agrochemicals were used for more than 3 years before harvest, and only organic fertilizers such as compost were used."
✅ Contains antioxidants, including the highly effective EGCg – EGCg and other catechins counteract the effects of free radicals. They help protect the body from the effects of various pollutants, UV radiation, and chemicals that can lead to cell and DNA damage.
✅ Speeds up metabolism and helps burn calories – matcha helps speed up metabolism and take care of your figure.
✅ Boosts energy and helps with concentration – matcha improves attention, memory, and reaction time. It also contains caffeine and L-theanine, which may improve brain function.
✅ Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium.
✅ Lowers cholesterol (LDL) – Studies have shown that people who regularly drink matcha tea have lower LDL cholesterol levels and higher HDL cholesterol levels.
✅ Lowers blood sugar levels – Green tea may cause mild lowering of blood sugar levels. It may also reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.
✅ Matcha also has many other important functions, such as slowing down aging and protecting the heart and liver.
✅ You can be sure that you are buying a product of the highest possible quality from enthusiasts who also love matcha and Japan!

✅ Ceremonial Matcha – harmony of tradition and modernity ✅
✔️ Zen Energy Powder – Matcha is not just a tea, but a philosophical element. The L-theanine it contains works synergistically with natural caffeine, providing long-lasting concentration without a sudden energy drop (which is why Zen monks drank it during long hours of meditation).
✔️ Shade is the secret to flavor – before harvesting, tea bushes are shaded. This allows the leaves to produce more chlorophyll and amino acids, giving matcha its intense green color and creamy texture.
✔️ Stone mills – patience in practice – grinding 30g of matcha with traditional mills takes about an hour. This is why the powder has such a velvety texture and unique aroma.
✔️ A ceremony that teaches simplicity – in Japan, the matcha brewing ritual (chanoyu) is a symbol of hospitality and focusing on the present moment. A cup of matcha is not just a drink, but a gesture of mindfulness and respect.

✅ What makes us stand out✅
✨ For whom✅

✅ Kenseikan – Japanese Saber School
Our school was born from a passion for traditional Japanese martial arts. We train in kenjutsu and battōjutsu, combining the art of swordsmanship with the values of self-discipline, respect, and personal development.
⚔️ Tradition and modernity
Drawing on the teachings of Master Nakagawa Kinji, we cultivate dōjō etiquette and Japanese ceremonial. At the same time, we strive to ensure that training is accessible and welcoming to everyone, regardless of age or experience.
✅ Unique approach
Kenseikan is not only about katana technique, but also about developing one's character and mind. This is the path to becoming the best version of oneself.
✅ Openness and community
We also run classes for blind and visually impaired people (the "Zatoichi" project), organize seminars and demonstrations, and our community brings together people with different passions who find common value in training.
✨ Our mission
It's not about being better than others - but about overcoming your own weaknesses step by step and developing in the spirit of budō.

1. Beginnings and family background
✅ Master Nakagawa Kinji was born in the city of Yatsushiro in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. From an early age, he was interested in martial arts – his first was kendō , which he began training in his second year of elementary school. Despite a difficult beginning, his passion and determination drove him ever further.
2. Education and technical development
⚔️ Around the age of 20, he began studying the Hoki Ryū school, learning one-handed fighting techniques. He then trained in Musō Shinden Ryū (Omori Ryū, Eishin Ryū) in Tokyo, and later Toyama Ryū under the tutelage of distinguished masters.
3. Degrees and achievements
✅ Nakagawa Sensei achieved 8th dan and the title of Hanshi— "teacher of teachers," confirming his supreme mastery. He won numerous awards in competitions and demonstrations, including those for high ranks.
4. My Own School – Nakagawa Ryū Battōjutsu
He is the founder of the Nakagawa Ryū Battōjutsu school, which combines traditional Toyama Ryū forms with the experiences of other classical schools (koryū). He developed not only fighting techniques but also etiquette and forms, emphasizing the fullness of tradition.

5. Philosophy and approach to training
✅ For the Master, not only physical ability is important, but also spirit and tradition. He emphasizes the importance of aesthetics, etiquette, and awareness of form – because a true warrior is not just technique, but also culture and character.
6. International activities
✅ Since 2008, he has been conducting seminars and demonstrations around the world – including in England, the Czech Republic, and many European countries. As a result, his teachings and philosophy have gained international recognition.
7. The importance of masters and traditions
✅ Sensei Tokutomi Tasaburō, a student associated with the original Toyama Academy, played a significant role in its development. Through this lineage, Nakagawa Sensei maintains its authenticity and deep connection to the ancient samurai tradition.
8. Authority and Mission
Today, Nakagawa Sensei is not only a master of technique, but also a leader and teacher of values . As the founder of international organizations, he trains students, organizes events, and passes on the samurai ethos to new generations.
