Matcha Premium Japanese Ceremonial Organic Tea With Chasen Bamboo Stirrer - 100 g

Usage:

This type of matcha is one of the most expensive because the leaves are shaded with special tarps for over a week before harvest, and the matcha comes exclusively from the first spring harvest.

Whisk 1 teaspoon of tea with 250 ml of hot, but not boiling water (approx. 70-80°C), and mix vigorously to dissolve the powder and create foam.

Description:

Discover the essence of Japanese tradition with tea from the Shizuoka Prefecture! We guarantee a long shelf life and fresh shipments straight from Japan.

Chasen (茶筅) is a traditional bamboo whisk used to prepare matcha tea in the Japanese tea ceremony. It is an essential tool that allows you to achieve a perfectly frothy and velvety consistency for your drink.

A chasen is crafted from a single piece of bamboo, which is precisely cut and shaped into thin tines. The number of tines can vary – the more there are, the easier it is to achieve a delicate foam. The most common variants are:

  • 80-tine – most commonly used, perfect for daily matcha preparation.
  • 100-tine and more – for a fluffier foam, used in tea ceremonies.
  • Chasen with fewer tines (e.g., 50-tine) – intended for thicker matcha.

The set includes an 80-tine chasen, perfect for achieving perfectly frothed matcha.

✅ Matcha – Green tea powder with exceptional properties

✅ What is matcha? ✅

✅ Matcha is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves that is consumed in its entirety, rather than brewed and strained like traditional tea.

✅ As a result, it provides a higher concentration of nutrients and antioxidants.

✅ Exceptional taste and health benefits

✅ Discover the unique Royal Brand Matcha – a top-quality product that makes it easy to prepare a traditional, aromatic brew.

✅ Just one teaspoon of matcha, whisked into 250 ml of hot (70-80°C) water, is all you need to create the characteristic foam. It is the perfect way to introduce a healthy and tasty ritual into your daily life.

✅ Origin and uniqueness

✅ Royal Brand Matcha comes from the prestigious Shizuoka Prefecture – a region famous for having the best conditions for growing green tea.

✅ Rich volcanic soil and a unique climate make matcha from this region stand out for its intense color, fresh aroma, and harmonious taste.

✅ Japanese Regions – Shizuoka Prefecture – A wealth of taste and tradition

✅ Shizuoka Tea: The pinnacle of Japanese green tea

✅ Shizuoka is the true tea capital of Japan, accounting for about 40% of the national production. Located at the foot of Mount Fuji, the region is distinguished by rich volcanic soil, crystal-clear water, and picturesque plantations. Diverse climatic conditions, including morning mists and temperature variations, contribute to the unique flavors of teas such as sencha, tencha, and hojicha. The history of tea in Shizuoka dates back to 1241, making it a place of unique tradition.

✅ Why first-flush matcha is the best ✅

✅ In winter, tea buds undergo a hibernation period, which allows them to store valuable nutrients before the spring harvest. As a result, first-flush matcha is rich in flavor and intense in effect. Leaves growing slowly in cool conditions develop a fullness of flavor and aroma that true connoisseurs will appreciate.

✅ L-theanine, a key amino acid that gives matcha its characteristic umami taste, is found in much higher quantities in the first harvest, three times higher than in the second harvest. In later harvests, such as the third and fourth, the level of L-theanine is significantly lower, which translates into less intense taste and nutritional values.

✅ High-quality matcha has an intense, full flavor with minimal bitterness, so it does not require added sugar. To fully enjoy the flavor and health benefits, it is worth reaching for first-flush matcha, which is considered truly ceremonial.

✅ How to recognize good matcha ✅

✅ Good matcha is recognized mainly by its color. An intense green shade indicates a high chlorophyll content and young leaves growing higher on the shrub, where they have more access to light. A yellowish hue suggests older leaves or leaves from the lower parts of the plant, which indicates lower quality.

✅ In this auction, we offer ceremonial matcha, marked in green in the frame below.

✅ The second important indicator of matcha quality is its consistency. The more silky and fine the powder, the higher the quality. You can easily check this by rubbing some matcha on a white sheet of paper.

✅ The attached photo shows a clear difference between daily matcha (left) and ceremonial matcha (right). Ceremonial matcha creates a smooth, intensely green, and continuous line, which testifies to very fine grinding. In contrast, daily matcha has a lumpier structure and a lighter, less saturated color, making the line less clear and broken.

✅ Both types of matcha in our offer are ground in traditional stone mills, but ceremonial matcha is ground longer, which translates into higher quality and a silky consistency.

✅ The presence of bitter notes does not always indicate low-quality matcha, because their intensity depends on the region of cultivation and farming techniques. However, matcha with intense bitterness or a fishy aftertaste indicates lower quality and a late harvest.

✅ Classification terms

Terms like "everyday matcha," "traditional," "premium," or "luxury" were created for marketing purposes and do not reflect the actual quality. The value of matcha depends on the features listed above, which are more reliable.

Why choose Royal Brand Matcha? ✅

✅ Royal Brand matcha has the Japanese JAS certificate. – You are guaranteed the highest quality with zero pesticides.

✅ It also has a European organic certificate. This means the tea is regularly tested for pesticide content.

✅ Thanks to its certification, the cultivation of this matcha is safe for the climate and nature.

✅ What is the JAS Certificate? ✅

✅ "The JAS organic certificate is the Japanese certification mark for organic products. It is the label for agricultural products and processed foods produced on farms where no artificial fertilizers or agrochemicals have been used for more than 3 years before harvest, using only organic fertilizers such as compost."

✅ Contains antioxidants, including highly effective EGCg – EGCg and other catechins counteract the effects of free radicals. They help protect the body from the effects of various pollutants, UV radiation, and chemicals that can lead to cell and DNA damage.

✅ Boosts metabolism and helps burn calories – matcha helps accelerate metabolism and take care of your figure.

✅ Boosts energy and helps with concentration – matcha improves focus, memory, and reaction time. It also contains caffeine and L-theanine, which can improve brain function.

✅ Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc, and magnesium.

✅ Lowers cholesterol (LDL) – Studies have shown that people who regularly drink matcha tea have lower levels of LDL cholesterol and higher levels of HDL cholesterol.

✅ Lowers blood sugar levels – green tea can cause a mild reduction in blood sugar levels. It may also lower the risk of type 2 diabetes.

✅ Matcha also serves many other important functions such as: slowing down aging, protecting the heart and liver.

✅ You are sure that you are buying a product of the highest possible quality from enthusiasts who also love matcha and Japan!

✅ Ceremonial matcha – a harmony of tradition and modernity ✅

✔️ Zen energy in powder – matcha is not just a tea, but an element of philosophy. The L-theanine it contains works synergistically with natural caffeine, providing long-lasting concentration without a sudden drop in energy (which is why Zen monks drank it during hours of meditation).

✔️ Shade as the secret of flavor – before harvest, tea bushes are shaded. This causes the leaves to produce more chlorophyll and amino acids, which gives matcha its intense green color and creamy texture.

✔️ Stone millstones – patience in practice – grinding 30 g of matcha takes traditional millstones about an hour. That is why the powder has such a velvety structure and a unique aroma.

✔️ A ceremony that teaches simplicity – in Japan, the matcha preparation ritual (chanoyu) is a symbol of hospitality and focusing on the present moment. A cup of matcha is not just a drink, but a gesture of mindfulness and respect.

Our school was founded out of a passion for the traditional martial arts of Japan. We train kenjutsu and battōjutsu, combining the art of sword fighting with values of self-discipline, respect, and personal growth.

⚔️ Tradition and modernity

We draw from the teachings of Master Nakagawa Kinji, cultivating dojo etiquette and Japanese ceremony. At the same time, we ensure that the training is accessible and friendly for everyone – regardless of age or experience.

✅ Unique approach

At Kenseikan, it's not just about katana cutting technique, but also about working on character and mind. It is a path to becoming the best version of yourself.

✅ Openness and community

We also conduct classes for the blind and visually impaired (the "Zatoichi" project), organize seminars and demonstrations, and our community brings together people with various passions who find common value in training.

✨ Our mission

It is not about being better than others – but about overcoming your own weaknesses step by step and developing in the spirit of budō.

1. Beginnings and family background

✅ Master Nakagawa Kinji was born in the city of Yatsushiro in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. From an early age, he was interested in martial arts – the first of which was kendō, which he began training in the second grade of elementary school. Despite a difficult start, his passion and determination led him further and further.

2. Education and technical development

⚔️ At the age of about 20, he began learning the Hoki Ryū school, mastering single-handed combat techniques. Later, in Tokyo, he trained in Musō Shinden Ryū (Omori Ryū, Eishin Ryū), and subsequently in Toyama Ryū under the guidance of outstanding masters.

3. Ranks and achievements

✅ Nakagawa Sensei achieved the 8th dan and the title of Hanshi – "teacher of teachers," which confirms his supreme mastery. He has won numerous awards in competitions and demonstrations, including in events for high-ranking practitioners.

4. His own school – Nakagawa Ryū Battōjutsu

✅ He is the founder of the Nakagawa Ryū Battōjutsu school, which combines traditional forms of Toyama Ryū with the experiences of other classical schools (koryū). He developed not only combat techniques but also etiquette and forms, emphasizing the fullness of the tradition.

5. Philosophy and approach to training

✅ For the Master, not only physical abilities are important, but also spirit and tradition. He emphasizes the importance of aesthetics, etiquette, and awareness of form – because a true warrior is not just technique, but also culture and character.

6. International activity

✅ Since 2008, he has been conducting seminars and demonstrations all over the world – including in England, the Czech Republic, and many European countries. Thanks to this, his teaching and philosophy have gained international recognition.

7. The importance of masters and tradition

✅ Sensei Tokutomi Tasaburō, a student associated with the original Toyama academy, played an important role in his development. Thanks to this lineage, Nakagawa Sensei maintains authenticity and a deep connection with the ancient samurai tradition.

8. Authority and mission

✅ Today, Nakagawa Sensei is not only a master of technique but also a leader and teacher of values. As the founder of international organizations, he trains students, organizes events, and passes on the samurai ethos to new generations.
