Summer savory - perfect for your dishes

What is shredded savory?

Shredded savory, also known as garden savory, is an aromatic spice that adds a unique flavor to many dishes. It is popular in Central European cuisines, especially in Poland. It is used in both meat and vegetable dishes, as it brings out the natural flavor of the ingredients, so they gain full flavor. Savory is also known for its health properties, as it can aid digestion and have anti-inflammatory effects.

How to use savory in the kitchen?

Shredded savory works best in stews, soups and sauces. It can be added to meats before roasting to enhance their flavor and aroma. It can also be sprinkled over salads or potatoes, but it is important not to overdo it with the amount, because savory has an intense flavor. When using savory, remember that it is best to add it at the end of cooking to retain its full flavor.
