Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) has thin, multi-layered bark and a milder, more complex profile than cassia. The sticks slowly release their aroma during brewing and cooking, making it easy to control the intensity of the flavor.

What does it pair with?

With coffee and tea, compotes, mulled drinks, porridges, desserts, cakes, rice, curries, sauces, and stews.

How to use?

Start by adding 1 stick to a pot or small saucepan. Brew or cook for 5–10 minutes, then remove. In sauces and long-cooked dishes, start with half a stick and increase the amount to taste.

Tip: pairs well with apple, pear, orange, vanilla, cardamom, and cloves.

Storage: in a dry, cool place, away from light.
