Externally: Mint is used to rinse the mouth and throat and for compresses to cool arthritis, rheumatism and neuralgia.
Internally: Mint infusions are primarily used for various ailments of the digestive tract, such as gastritis and enteritis, hypoacidity, digestive disorders manifested by lack of appetite, vomiting, nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain, poor digestion of fats, improper fermentation in the intestines, intestinal colic, intestinal spasms, diarrhea, constipation and weakened pancreatic function.
It is also used in the treatment of vegetative neuroses, migraine headaches, motion sickness and as a sedative.
